Order of service
Order of Service comprises a film about parading and waiting and an installation of objects.
It reflects the persistent presence of repetitive and absurd ritual – both personal and communal – and the tendency for our attention to be drawn to noisy and distracting habit and tradition while the really important thing may be happening at the margin, quietly, and overlooked.
The project "Order of Service" represents a collaboration between Richard Cook and Monika Drabot, where they meticulously observe and document the social rituals and behaviors exhibited by individuals within a crowded environment.
